Frequently Asked Questions
Class Start Times: Classes start at the scheduled times so please be 15 minutes early to set up your gear.
Course Notes: Please ensure that you have downloaded your notes and read them a day or so prior to your class. This way they will be fresh in your mind and you will have the opportunity to ask questions about them.
Casting Equipment:
Rods: Bring along whatever rod you are most comfortable using and a floating line to match. I feel that in general 5 – 7 weights are the most suitable for practicing and perfecting your casting stroke.
Lines: A bright orange line is definitely a huge advantage when practicing your casting. We can supply a Fluro ‘HAYES Dogs Balls’ practice line at a cost of $35 if you need one.
Leaders: An 8 – 10 foot tapered leader will give you the most consistent turnover results. We can supply on the day at additional cost of $12 if required.
No Gear ? I can supply an outfit for novices without equipment. Just let me know on an email prior to your class.
Other items: Along with suitable clothing for the weather conditions please bring along a folding chair, hat, eye protection and any refreshments you may need.
In case you get lost : I can be contacted before the class start time on 0409 944 699.
